Cambodia Visas: What You Need to Know
Following are the three options for obtaining a Cambodia visa:
Option 1: Apply for a Visa at the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Berlin
If you live in Germany, we recommend applying for your visa through the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in Berlin, where you can receive personalized assistance and choose between in-person or postal application options.
a. In-Person Application at the Embassy
Visit the Embassy with the required documents during office hours (please check for public holiday closures). No appointment is required. Please bring the following:
- Visa Application Form: Download, fill out, and print with a photo affixed, or you can obtain the form at the Embassy and fill in at the spot.
- Original Passport: The visa sticker will be affixed to your passport.
- Visa Fee: Payment is accepted in cash only, or by bank transfer with proof of payment.
Processing Time: 3 working days.
b. Postal Application
If you are unable to visit the Embassy, you may apply by post. The visa will be processed within three working days after receiving your passport. Send the following documents to the Embassy:
- Completed Visa Application Form: Download, fill out, and print, with a photo affixed .
- Original Passport
- Proof of Bank Transfer: The transfer purpose should be “Visa: [Last Name, First Name]”.
- Return Envelope: Self-addressed and stamped.
Visa Fee Payment: Transfer the visa fee (Visa T = 40 euro, Visa E = 45 euro) to:
Bank Name: Deutsche Bank AG Berlin/Branch 701
Account Name: Royal Embassy of Cambodia
IBAN: DE74 1007 0100 0272 0498 10
BIC/SWIFT: DEUTDEBB101
Important Note: The Embassy is not liable for postal delays or losses. Use registered mail. You may include postage fees with your visa payment if you want the Embassy to handle the return envelope.
Incomplete applications will not be processed. Additional documents may be requested. Always write your phone number and/or email clearly.
Option 2: Apply for an e-Visa
If you cannot visit the Embassy or apply by post, you can apply online via the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ official e-Visa website: Apply here.
Important! The platform is managed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia and the Embassy has no control over it.
Option 3: Obtain a Visa on Arrival (VoA)
If, for any reason, for example, if you are already traveling and wish to enter Cambodia without a prior visa, or if you prefer not to apply at the Embassy or for an e-Visa, you can obtain a Visa on Arrival at any international entry point. However, to avoid the risk of being denied boarding by some airlines, please make sure to submit the e-Arrival form (available only within 7 days before arrival) and be ready to show it if requested.
Now that you know your options, the choice is yours. We recommend applying in person at the Embassy for convenience and peace of mind. Whichever option you choose, we wish you an enjoyable stay in Cambodia.
